A la edad de 87 años, Jack Foley, veterano de la legendaria Compañía Easy, perdió su batalla con la edad.
We regret to inform that we lost again one of our brothers tonight at the age of 87. Jack Foley passed away this evening. His health was fragile but he was tough. He lost his battle with age.
Jack joined us in Bastogne and was platoon leader of the 1st platoon during the war. He led us through one of the toughest battles, the Battle of the Bulge, till the end of the war. His leadership saved a lot of men. He was a great officer and a great man. We will always remember him as a good and honest man and a wonderful friend.
We want to express our condolences to his wife Mary-Lou and his children, grandchildren and other family members We wish them strength in these difficult times.

Jack se unió a la Easy en Bastogne, y fue un gran líder del primer pelotón durante la guerra. El guió a los hombres durante una de las más duras batallas, la Batalla de las Ardenas, hasta el final de la guerra. Su liderazgo salvó gran cantidad de hombres.
